What HeadStart Means To Me - A HeadStart Poem by Hannah Rooney, HeadStart Ambassador

What HeadStart means to me is to be free,
An opportunity to be me,

What HeadStart means to me is to have a friend,
One that’s there until the end,
That will help to mend, help to tend,
Any problems you may feel,
One who is real.

What HeadStart means to me is somewhere that understands,
Who will lend a hand,
Who will develop your skills,
Create new thrills,
Allowing you to become someone you never thought you could be

What HeadStart means to me is community
Unity,
Friendship,
Fun,
Independence,
Fulfilment,
Help,
They are always there to help, no matter what the problems may be.

What HeadStart means to me is positivity,
It is the key to giving youth the help it needs,
So please allow me to help this community,
So I can be a better me.
