Open Afternoon showcases HeadStart services for Heath Town, Park Village, Eastfield, Springfield and Old Heath

A free celebration event took place on Monday 29th January to highlight the help and support available from HeadStart Wolverhampton for 10 to 16-year-olds living in the Eastfield, Heath Town, Park Village, Springfield and Old Heath areas.

Families and young people at the open afternoon event met with members of the HeadStart team and took part in creative workshops, including arts and crafts activities, the use of the HeadStart digital graffiti board, and a drumming workshop lead by Beat Feet. The event was organised in partnership with Eastfield Strengthening Families Hub.

The HeadStart base for Heath Town, Park Village, Eastfield, Springfield and Old Heath is located at Eastfield Community Centre. The other HeadStart community bases are located at Low Hill LibraryBob Jones Community Hub, and Bilston Town Hall.

Each base is home to a multi-agency team, including a HeadStart Community Development Coordinator, Young Person Engagement Coordinator and School Support Coordinator.
