A fantastic volunteering opportunity for parents and carers. Do you have what it takes to become a HeadStart Parent Champion?

Big news for parents and carers who are as passionate about supporting their communities as we are!

HeadStart Wolverhampton is looking to recruit Parent Champion volunteers to spread key messages and support other parents in understanding emotional well-being and mental health in young people.

HeadStart Parent Champions:

  • Volunteer their time to support other parents, schools, and their local communities, working with them to improve the emotional well-being of resilience of young people.
  • Understand and offer support to parents and carers to remove the stigma around mental health issues.
  • Contribute to key decision-making on the work of HeadStart in our communities
  • Support the HeadStart Wolverhampton team and partner organisations at community events and activities.

In return, Parent Champions receive dedicated training and ongoing support to help them to succeed in this important role, building their experience and knowledge.

Becoming a Parent Champion is a great launchpad to a possible future career in community work or schools.

Why not build your CV, knowledge and experience while putting something back into your local community?
