Welcome to the HeadStart 2017 Summer Programme - a range of free activities for young people aged 10-16 and their families

HeadStart is pleased to announce that the HeadStart Summer Programme, which has been co-designed by community organisations working alongside our HeadStart Community Coordinators, is now available for booking by young people and families who live in one of the four target areas for HeadStart Wolverhampton:

The summer programme is unique to each area to reflect the expertise of local partner organisations and local priorities. Activities are designed to improve the confidence, resilience and self esteem of young people.  Some activities are targeted at specific groups of young people - for example young carers, or young people with disabilities.

The programme is free for all 10-16 year olds living in each area, so explore the programme and book places as soon as you can.

Please note that HeadStart cannot directly book places for you - please use the contact details included for each activity to book places.

Partner organisations can download the HeadStart Operations Guide and associated resources here

HeadStart Newshounds

In addition, we are supporting a set of HeadStart Newshounds, who have been commissioned with partner organisations to capture the experiences and challenges of young people and families living in their area, and sharing these to influence decision-making and future programme development. Look out for their reports and media as the summer progresses.
